Priorities

Fiscal Responsibility/Stewardship

Taxpayers deserve disciplined budgeting and careful oversight.

I will work to ensure county spending is justified, transparent, and aligned with core responsibilities. Growth should strengthen our financial position — not create unnecessary burdens.

Managing Growth

Meade County is experiencing increased development and population growth. The recent mining issue has brought up many questions about zoning regulations – or the lack of them, and how this may benefit Meade County in the future. We should investigate the advantages and disadvantages of implementing zoning regulations along the I-90 corridor and perhaps other areas. Zoning isn’t an all or nothing proposal, it can be tailored to our needs.

Our growth plan must address the changing times.

We should attract the type of development that help tax payers live, work and share the burden of property tax needs.

We must be willing to update our policies, plan wisely, protect property rights, and ensure infrastructure keeps pace without overextending taxpayers.

Growth must be anticipated and managed — not merely reacted to.

Roads & Infrastructure

Large counties, like Meade County, present significant challenges for road maintenance. We need to understand these challenges and build a plan to address them. Reliable roads are essential for families, ranchers, businesses, and emergency services.

Long-term planning and smart investment will help maintain our infrastructure responsibly. Communication is needed on this issue specifically.

Public Safety

Supporting law enforcement, fire and emergency services is a fundamental county responsibility. These agencies must be well-equipped and professionally supported in order to keep our communities safe. It is our duty to our citizens.

Teamwork and Cooperation

If elected, I will be one of five commissioners. Meade County’s other four districts may have slightly different needs than District 1. Teamwork and communication is essential for good county governance. Cooperation between cities and counties is essential for maximum taxpayer benefit. We need each other and must strive to work together whenever possible.

Transparent Government

This is your government and you deserve to know what is going on, whether it’s public or behind the scenes.

I support open meetings, clear communication, and meaningful public input so residents remain informed and engaged.
